What you'll do
- Design and prototype user interfaces for the Beltways website
- Assist in maintaining design consistency across all digital platforms
- Create hi-fidelity wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes for different breakpoints
- Collaborate with engineering teams to define requirements and deliverables
- Conduct user research and usability testing and communicate research findings in a clear and meaningful manner to CoS
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive brand guideline
- Assistance in design-related task unrelated to the Beltways website, marketing, Beltways OS
Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Masters in User Experience Design, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Design Communication or related major
- Reliably commute to the headquarters in Hebron, Kentucky
- Education - Working towards a Bachelors or Masters in User Experience Design, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, or similar
- Visual Design Excellence - You are known for your visual design skills. Show us your eye for typography, color theory, layout, and visual hierarchy through your portfolio
- Motion Design - You can use motion to create a meaningful, memorable, and engaging experience
- Communication Skills - Share your ability to clearly explain design decisions and translate complex concepts into ideas that are easy to understand
- Organization - Demonstrate your thoughtful approach to file management and design documentation
- Creative Thinking - We value designers who create intuitive experiences that also inspire fellow designers
- Design Tool Proficiency - Experience with Figma, design systems, and variable modes
- Initiative - You thrive in an autonomous environment and can initiate new tasks
Nice to have
- 3D Rendering - Experience rendering 3D models (Blender, Cinema 4D, KeyShot, or similar) and exporting assets for web use
- HTML/CSS - Ability to read and make small edits to structure and styling, troubleshoot responsive layout issues, and work with design system components
- Webflow - Comfortable building and maintaining pages in Webflow (CMS collections, components, responsive breakpoints, interactions, and publishing workflows)
- Procreate - Ability to quickly sketch concepts, storyboard flows, or create lightweight illustrations/graphics for marketing and product pages
Pay and Compensation
- Compensation - Interns receive competitive monthly salary. Specific compensation details will be discussed during the interview process.
