What you'll do
- Own the full lifecycle of mechanical design: concept, CAD, prototyping, testing, documentation, and launch
- Lead cost reduction and DFM for scalable production (sheet metal, casting, etc.)
- Create and manage subsystem specifications aligned with product/system requirements
- Use CAD tools, primarily NX, for mechanical design and analysis
- Participate in technical and cross-functional reviews with software and systems teams
- Ensure documentation quality, process discipline, and engineering rigor
- Troubleshoot and mentor hands-on, supporting teammates at all levels
- Learn and apply relevant codes and standards (especially ASME A17.1)
- Champion an inclusive, humble, and high-performance team culture
- Build and assemble the world’s fastest accelerators in our facility
- Run FEA to validate parts/assemblies under loads
- Produce manufacturing-ready drawings from CAD
- Build and maintain a BOM for assemblies/subassemblies
- Create step-by-step assembly instructions
Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical, Systems, Mechatronics, Engineering or related major
- Reliable commute to the headquarters in Hebron, Kentucky
- Commercialization - 5–10 years of hands-on experience, including commercializing new products
- High-volume production - Expertise in DFM, FEA, and GD&T, delivering cost-effective, manufacturable systems that raise industry standards.
- CAD - Proficient in CAD (Siemens NX preferred), simulation, and PDM systems
- Industry knowledge - 5-10 years of experience in conveyance, robotics, industrial automation, automotive, or mobility systems preferred.
- Leadership - Equally comfortable leading strategy and executing detailed tasks
- Physical Requirements - Ability to lift 35 pounds, ability to stand 8-10 hours a day, occasionally required to climb, kneel, crouch in an office environment that may contain ambient noise and temperature fluctuations

- PE license - Currently hold a PE license or ability to obtain one
- 3D Print Prototyping - Rapidly prototyping and testing designs using 3D printing
